Partners and Art Partners Teen Advisory Board
The Partners and Art Partners Teen Advisory Board was formed in 2006 to help Partners improve and promote our programs. The board has been an integral part of our volunteer staff at activities, have continued to aide in the creation of A.R.T. teen art zine and continue to drive new developments in both the Partners and Art Partners programs.

What is it all about?
The Partners and Art Partners Teen Advisory Board is an exciting program that promotes teen participation in community service for the three county region. Students have the opportunity to work with our Nexus Kids that are waiting for a mentor or take on a project that helps our programs or another organization. Community service can change attitudes, build awareness of those in need and empower teens to self-direct.

Who can be on the Teen Advisory Board (T.A.B.)?
Area youth between the ages of 15 and 17 who have an interest in helping their fellow man and their community. We are always looking for volunteers to expand our outreach and become advocates for current issues affecting young people in our region. They must be willing to make a one-year commitment with the option of signing up for 25 to 50 community service hours for that year. Each group will have access to an array of ways to get involved in their community. If you are interesting in applying please download the application and email w4partners@partners-west.org or mail to Partners at 315 South 7th Street Montrose CO 81401.

What will it cost me?
Your cost will be your desire to help, enthusiasm for your community, and the time commitment to be a true volunteer. Each T.A.B. member will be reimbursed mileage to activities to help ease the cost of gas.

A.R.T. Artistic Resource for Teens
The A.R.T. Zine is a unique endeavor for Art Partners and the Teen Advisory Board. The first issue came out in Spring of 2007. We have received submissions of some of the best work by teens in the region. Area teens are invited to submit their work on an on going basis. A.R.T. gives teen artists and writers the opportunity to learn the process of submitting work and the pleasure of receiving a check for work that is published. All forms of printable/digital art work are accepted for review. Writing, photography, graphic design, computer art, drawing, painting, etc.
