Partners works because of the dedication of our volunteers. Listed below are different ways that you can volunteer within the organization. The volunteer commitments vary with each activity. Please review the volunteer opportunities and start changing the world, one child at a time!
Senior Partners
- Senior Partners make a one-year commitment to spend an average of three hours per week with a Junior Partner.
- Senior Partners agree to a background check, a screening interview and must supply references prior to becoming a volunteer.
- Senior Partners must have a driver's license and proof of car insurance.
Art Partners
- Art Partners make a three month commitment and spend an average of three hours per week with their Junior Partner focusing on artistic projects.
- Art Partners agree to a background check, a screening interview and must supply references prior to becoming a volunteer.
- Art Partners must have a driver's license and proof of car insurance.
- Art Partners must have a hobby or artistic talent that they can share with a youth.
Nexus Volunteers
- Nexus Volunteers help with monthly recreational events provided for the youth who are waiting for a Senior Partner.
- Nexus Volunteers agree to a background check and a reference check prior to becoming a volunteer.
Volunteer for other activities
- Partners hosts several fundraising events throughout the year that require volunteer services. Some of the exciting events we offer are a bike ride, TV auction, Antique Auction, Spaghetti Dinner and a Volunteer Appreciation Dinner. Call the office to find out when these events occur and what volunteer opportunities are available.
- The offices are always in need of volunteer services to help with mailings.
Monetary Contributions
Partners is always grateful to receive financial donations. Your gift will go to help children in Delta, Montrose, and Ouray Counties. We would be happy to provide you with a receipt for tax purposes. Please make checks payable to Partners and send to P.O. Box 1708, Montrose, CO 81402.
